Hi. Thanks for visiting. I am retired and was extremely bored when I began this journey. I am in love with the heavens. My father gave me that love. I grew up with west Texas ranchers as grandparents who lived without light pollution. I learned the constellations of the winter skies and marveled at the core of the Milk Way during the summer. Unfortunately, those dark skies are all but gone these days. You can still find them in the Big Bend area of Texas as well as many pockets of darkness in the hill country. This is a record of my journey to bring dark skies to those who may have never seen them. Eighty percent of the world’s population have never seen the night sky in it’s natural light without light pollution. My message to readers is reach for the stars and chase your dream. It just might come true. I know mine has.
